Bogota Artesinal Craft Beer Tour

Bogotá has become the scenery of craft breweries in Colombia, more than 100 artisanal brands are prove of it. In this tour you won’t try all of them, but at least 5 of the most authentic ones.

Starting at the square where Bogotá was founded by the Spaniards, we will begin our drink adventure traveling in time, by having a chicha, a 15th centuries old drink, fermented by our indigenous people. Then you won’t get thirsty again having 5 glasses of cold craft beer from
different and local recognized breweries. All of them run by young entrepreneurs trying to set the Colombian identity in a beer.

You will try ales, stouts, ambers and lagers with a little piece of the local flavors. All breweries are located in Candelaria district which creates the perfect atmosphere to enjoy about the history of our drinking culture.

Graffitis transformed this neighborhood in the last years, after the first Graffiti Festival in Getsemani that took place in December 2013.

Our fully qualified guide offers a complete knowledge of the impressive history of Getsemani starting at the clock tower, from there, we go to the street of La Sierpe (where all the murals are) and Trinidad plaza, which has an historical, cultural and national value. We will also walk on top of the city wall.

In San Basilio de Palenque a local guide will receive us and we will learn a little of the Palenquero dialect, history and culture of this great town. Through craft arts such as the work of the Spinners, who with their strong movement prepare the corn to feed their families, and the beautiful art of weaving through the hands of artisans who tell their stories through their handicraft we get even closer to the culture. After exploring the village and its surroundings we will enjoy a delicious typical lunch in the palenquera way.
